Our nutritionist, Wendy Akune, comes to us from Vancouver, Canada where she enjoys the abundance of natural beauty around her. She has been practicing yoga for over ten years and is a certified yoga teacher (200 hr) and a registered holistic nutritionist.
She believes that given the right tools, the body has an innate drive towards health and balance. Vihara, the name of Wendy's Vancouver based business, refers to a refuge or abode where monks were able to go to for shelter and food. Similarly, Wendy feels that our bodies are the temples that house our spirit and that with proper treatment through breath, movement and open-heartedness we can begin to discover our inner selves.
During the Yoga TTC, she will be in charge of the Holistic Nutrition classes.

Dominique developed her own Vinyasa style, in an eclectic way, based on Krishnamacharya's method, and integrating many elements from other schools to enhance her practice and teachings. She does not follow a system in order to remain open and free. She says: “Vinyasa is the art of sequencing, it is like a ballet, it is a choreography…”, however, she remains faithful to the ancient teachings of Yoga.

Our yoga instructor Gaby was born in France in 1961. He studied sciences and engineering, but love for nature and freedom made a nomad out of him. In 1997, the peaceful secret of Aikido offered a way out of violence and war and in 2001 he moved to India where he discovered Yoga and eastern philosophies. Since 2006 he has dedicated himself entirely to Yoga, Aikido and meditation.
