Rachel teaches and conducts workshops and courses in the context of Ayurveda, Yoga and Yoga Philosophy around Asia. She also offers Ayurvedic consultation as well as body therapies.
She was born in Taiwan, educated and lived in the US. Subsequently she had made home in Hong Kong and later New Zealand where she studied and received formal qualifications of Ayurveda, the ancient life science and medicine system of India and Yoga (Therapy). She also has advanced Sanskrit and Jyotish (Vedic Astrology) studies with teachers she sought privately.
Rachel’s practice has three overlapping and mutually inclusive aspects - the clinical practice and teaching of Ayurveda, Yoga in the full spectrum of investigating within and without including teaching being her highest guru and the third anchor in her practice, the ongoing Sanskrit studies of classical scriptures of Yoga philosophy and Ayurvedic medical text.
Rachel embarked on the path of yoga in 2001 with Iyengar and Yin Yoga formats. She then stumbled upon Ashtanga Vinaysa Yoga in 2004 and it remains the centre of her practice and guidance to this day.
Rachel is a 500H Yoga Alliance recognized Yoga Teacher with Wellpark College of Natural Therapy of New Zealand.
